Rotary Churchill dinner helps Projects

Projects being undertaken by the Friends have benefited from a £500 donation thanks to Edenbridge and Westerham Rotary Club. The is part of the proceeds from the group’s annual Churchill dinner which raises money for local communities.

President Colin Ullmann-Jones said: “Sir Winston was an Honorary member of Westerham Rotary Club and the dinner is held in his honour. It has been held every since 1964 barring the Covid lockdown. When Westerham Rotary Club and Edenbridge Rotary Club formed a new joint club in 2015 it was decided to keep on the tradition. As with most Rotary activities it is a fundraising event. At the recent dinner we raised in excess of £2000”. The cheque was presented by Colin to Chairman Ian Philip in the tea room.
